  1. What is GeekGear?

    GeekGear is a monthly mystery subscription box service shipping out thousands of mystery boxes to amazing people all across the world! We specialise in monthly and bimonthly mystery boxes and are a family run business in the centre of Scotland, United Kingdom.

  2. What are the T-Shirt sizes?

    Below are the T-Shirt sizes available to choose from:

    Sizes may vary slightly depending on the T-Shirt.

    Please note that some t-shirt colours may vary from our monthly brochure due to some colours only being available for certain sizes. If this is the case, we will try to make sure to use a similar colour or an appropriate alternative colour.

  3. What is a subscription?

    A subscription is a periodically recurring prepayment usually on a monthly basis depending on your subscription option. A subscription automatically takes payment on an agreed date, usually the same time every month.

  4. Monthly subscription cut-off date?

    Order between these dates to receive:

    JANUARY – 21st of December – 20th of January

    FEBRUARY – 21st of January – 20th of February

    MARCH – 21st of February – 20th of March

    APRIL – 21st of March – 20th of April

    MAY – 21st of April – 20th of May

    JUNE – 21st of May – 20th of June

    JULY – 21st of June – 20th of July

    AUGUST – 21st of July – 20th of August

    SEPTEMBER – 21st of August – 20th of September

    OCTOBER – 21st of September – 20th of October

    NOVEMBER – 21st of October – 20th of November

  5. Bi-Monthly subscription cut-off date?

  6. Is this a contract?

    No, you can cancel your subscription at anytime without giving notice either in your account or by contacting our support team.

  7. How do I cancel my subscription?

    To cancel your subscription, either log into your account at geekgearbox.co.uk or contact Customer Support either through [email protected] or contacting our LiveChat!

    Livechat is available 9AM to 5PM Monday to Thursday and 9AM to 4PM on Friday.

  8. How do I change my account details?

    To change your account details, please log into your account at Geekgearbox.co.uk. Our support team can also help you change some details such as your address, renewal date and help you with any order issues. Please e-mail us at [email protected] to make changes to your account.

    Please note that our support team is unable to help with updating your bank / payment details and these will need to be manually updated by yourself in your account.

  9. Can I track my UK order?

    UK customers shop orders as well as subscription orders are dispatched with Royal Mail Tracked 48 – this is a fully tracked service and usually takes 2-3 days for delivery depending on weather conditions after dispatch.

  10. Can I track my INTERNATIONAL order?

    International shop orders including subscriptions are dispatched by International Priority shipping via Royal Mail. We don’t currently track international parcels worldwide, however, each parcel is scanned at the time of dispatch and at the time of delivery to our customer.

    We are looking into introducing a fully tracked and express option in the future which will be available as an alternative shipping option.

  11. How do I make changes to my order?

    To make changes to a subscription order, simply log into your account at Geekgearbox.co.uk. To make changes to a shop order, you will need to email us at [email protected] or by contacting our LiveChat!

    Livechat is available 9AM to 5PM Monday to Thursday and 9AM to 4PM on Friday.

  12. How do I return an item?

    To return a product you no longer wish to have, please email us prior to sending it back at [email protected]. The product will need to be returned in the same condition that you received it in.

    The return policy can be found at the bottom of our website.

  13. Are my personal details safe if I create an account?

    We are fully compliant with the Data Protection Act so your personal details will always be kept safe!

  14. How can I pay for my order?

    We currently accept all major debit and credit cards as well as PayPal. You can select your preferred payment option at checkout.

  15. How do I use discount codes?

    Discount codes can be used at checkout at the time of purchase.

  16. I have a payment problem on my order. What should I do?

    The majority of the time, a payment problem can be solved by simply contacting your bank or PayPal depending on your payment option as they may see it as a fraudulent transaction and will need to remove this block from your account. If you continue to have issues, please email us at [email protected] or by contacting our LiveChat!

  17. I have forgotten my password. What should I do?

    Don’t worry! Simply click ‘Forgotten your Password’ on the log in page and we will send an email to you with a link to create a new password!

    If you are unable to find the ‘Forgotten your Password’ button, please e-mail us at [email protected] so we can send a ‘Forgotten your Password’ link for you.

  18. I have received the wrong product, what should I do?

    If you have received the wrong product, please email us at [email protected] or by contacting our LiveChat!

  19. My order has been sent back?

    If your order has been sent back to us due to non-acceptance at the time of delivery, or you forgot to pick it up from your local post office, please email us at [email protected]

    Once your parcel has returned to us, we will get in contact with you to notify you of the return. Once returned, we will be happy to send your order out to you again. Depending on the situation, we may ask for a delivery payment before the order can be sent out again.

  20. My order hasn’t arrived?

    UK – If your order hasn’t arrived and you are a UK customers, please email us at [email protected]. All UK orders are tracked and we will look into this for you and speak to Royal Mail incase your parcel has went missing. Please note that we can’t class a parcel as lost until either tracking confirms it has went missing or 7 working days have passed since dispatch.

    INT – If your order hasn’t arrived and you are an international customer, please email [email protected]. Once dispatched, International parcels usually take 1-2 weeks for delivery as stated by the Royal Mail service, however, we are unable to class the parcel as lost until 4 weeks have passed since dispatch. If your parcel hasn’t arrived within 4 weeks, an investigation will be put in place to see what has happened to your parcel and a replacement will be sent out.

  21. Something in my order is damaged.

    If you have received your order, and a product appears to be damaged, please send us a picture to [email protected] with your order / subscription number so we can look at the best options for you. This may either be a replacement or refund depending on the situation and stock.

  22. Something in my order is missing.

    If you have received your order, and a product appears to be missing, please email us at [email protected] so we can investigate the missing product. The GeekGear production team put in great effort to make sure all products are in our boxes and each box is individually weighed before your shipping label is attached.

  23. What do I do if I ordered the wrong product?

    If you have ordered the wrong product, please email us at [email protected] or contact us via LiveChat as soon as possible so we can make the relevant changes. If you have already received the order, please contact us and we will find the next best solution for you.

  24. What happens if I am not at home to accept my delivery?

    If you are not available to take receipt of your parcel, your postal service should leave a note. They will either re-attempt delivery on the next working day, or you will be required to pick it up from your local post office.

  25. What happens once my item is returned?

    Once we have received your unwanted product back in our warehouse, a full refund will be issued excluding the shipping cost.

  26. What is your returns policy?

    The returns policy can be found at the bottom of our website.

  27. When does my subscription renew?

    Month to Month subscription – Our monthly renewing subscriptions renew on the same date every month. If you subscribed on the 1st of January, your subscription will renew on the 1st of February, then on the 1st of March and so on until cancelled.

    3 month prepaid plan – Our 3 month prepaid plan renews every 3 month. If you subscribed on the 1st of January, you will have paid for the January, February and March boxes. Your subscription will then renew on the 1st of April for the April, May and June boxes.

    6 month prepaid plan – Our 6 month prepaid plan renews every 6 month. If you subscribed on the 1st of January, you will have paid for the January, February, March, April, May and June boxes. Your subscription will then renew on the 1st of July for the July, August, September, October, November and December boxes.

    12 month prepaid plan – Our 12 month prepaid plan renews every 12 month. If you subscribed on the 1st of January 2018, you will have paid for January to December 2018 boxes. Your subscription will then renew on the 1st of January 2019 for the January to December 2019 boxes.

    Bimonthly subscription – Our bimonthly subscription renews every 2 month on the same date every 2 month. If you subscribed on the 1st of February for the February box, your bimonthly subscription will then renew on the 1st of April for the April box.

  28. When Is payment taken from my account?

    Payment is taken at the time of purchase after entering all of your details at checkout.

  29. When will I receive my refund?

    Once your product has been received back, we will issue a refund. This usually takes 5-7 working days to go back to your initial payment method.

  30. When will my bimonthly subscription box be dispatched?

    All of our bimonthly subscription boxes are dispatched between the 21st and 26th of every 2nd month. Here are the shipping months for our bimonthly subscription boxes: January, March, May, July, September and November.

  31. When will my monthly subscription box be dispatched?

    All of our subscriptions run on a similar shipping pattern. Our monthly subscription boxes are dispatched between the 21st and 26th of each month.

  32. When will my shop order be dispatched?

    All shop orders placed in our online shop are usually dispatched within 1-2 working days with the exception of the Non-Subscription boxes which are dispatched within the usual time frame of either our month to month subscriptions or bimonthly subscriptions.

  34. Why is my discount code not working?

    The discount code entered may have expired or the promotion may not have started yet. Depending on the code, you may need a specific amount in your cart or a specific product.

  35. Will I be charged VAT?

    Orders placed, which are delivered within the UK, are inclusive of VAT. Deliveries outside of the UK may be subject to an import duties and taxes, including VAT, which are levied once the order reaches the destination country.
